The Grand Avenue Tavern is back!!!!

I just received news that has made my ~~day~~ year. The Grand Avenue Tavern, which closed last year and has had an uncertain future, is once again open for business. And the best part...everyone's favorite employee from the old GAT - Renee - is running the show!

Fate and Next Door

If you haven't been to Fate in the last 6 months, you need to go check it out for a couple reasons. First of all, the restaurant went through a remodel last year and now features more outdoor seating and updated bathrooms. And of course, the food is still awesome. But more importantly, there is now a full service outdoor bar next door called, simply, Next Door. It's a fantastic place to sit when the weather is nice. And the bartenders are very friendly. There's ample room to hang out so it's a great place to bring a large group of friends. So head to Fate for dinner and then Next Door to party!

In addition to being lame about updates to CenPho.com this year, we were also lame to have not previously acknowledged our Phoenix New Times "Best of 2007" award for "Best Place to Find Your Place." We're honored to have been recognized by the PNT team, and we're glad to hear that more and more people are using the "CenPho" moniker! So thanks to everyone for your support over the last few years! And we promise to get back on track soon!

OK, the CenPho girls have been TOTALLY LAME this year about sharing our adventures.

But as Monty Python would say, "we're not dead...yet."

We've been cooking up ideas for ways to make CenPho.com better than ever, while continuing to provide information about Central Phoenix to the world.

So we PROMISE there is more to come. We just can't promise WHEN exactly, but it will be this winter.

In the meantime, enjoy our previous commentary about bars and restaurants in CenPho, and stay tuned!
