CenPho

I would love to see a forum that showcases and promotes local independent businesses in CenPho. I, for one, have a luscious online-only vintage store that does a brisk business overseas, but is virtually unknown in the Valley for lack of a physical store. I would love to generate some local buzz about it to supplement my online sales, not only because I think really exceptional vintage is scarce in Phoenix, but also because the stock is exactly the kind of thing young independents are looking for but can't find...and I have it right under their noses!

I run the restaurant search site Urbanspoon and we've recently started covering Phoenix. We pull together restaurant reviews from the newspaper critics (New Times, Phoenix Magazine, etc) as well as reviews from food bloggers like Phoenix Rail Food. For example, here's our page on Durant's:

I was a reluctant Phoenician, but since moving downtown I'm no longer a hater. My friends and I are always trying new places in CenPho, and initially used your site as a springboard for our outings. Now we're going it alone. We'd be more than willing to contribute reviews of the places we've tried that haven't made it up here yet. I think a forum of downtowners to contribute their own reviews would likely get a lot of use.
